What is Wild Rise Pizza Co?
Wild Rise Pizza Co. is a sourdough pizza concept in Boise, Idaho, created by Natalie Perry, the recipe developer behind Perry’s Plate. It helps home cooks make flavorful, naturally fermented pizza at home with simple ingredients and step-by-step guidance.

The Story Behind Wild Rise
Wild Rise Pizza Co. started with a simple obsession: making really good pizza at home.
I’d been baking with sourdough for years, and somewhere along the way I fell hard for pizza dough. The kind with a chewy, airy crust, deep flavor, and those beautiful blistered edges that make you feel like you pulled it out of a wood-fired oven—even if you don't actually own one.
But here’s what I kept noticing: most people weren’t intimidated by making pizza. They were intimidated by getting started with sourdough.
So I started experimenting, testing, and simplifying the process. I wanted to create something that would help people skip the overwhelm and get straight to the fun part: making incredible pizza at home.
Wild Rise grew out of that idea.
It’s a way to bring sourdough pizza to the Boise, Idaho, area without the "countertop pet" maintenance and to give you that “wait… I made this?!” moment the first time you pull a perfect pizza out of the oven.

Why Sourdough Pizza?
Sourdough pizza isn’t just trendy, it’s genuinely better.
The natural fermentation process gives the dough a depth of flavor you just can’t get from quick-rise yeast dough. It also creates that signature texture: crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. AND it's more easily digestible.
Some of my customers who suffer from wheat/gluten intolerances or sensitivities can tolerate my long-fermented pizza dough. Imagine being able to eat legit delicious pizza after years of avoiding it!
If you’ve never worked with sourdough before, here’s why it’s worth it:
• Better flavor – slow fermentation creates a richer, more complex taste
• Chewy, airy crust – those beautiful bubbles and crispy edges
• Simpler ingredients – just flour, water, salt, and starter
• Gentler on digestion for many people
In my experience, once you try sourdough pizza, it’s really hard to go back.
