First, I was asked to be a contributor for Pioneer Woman’s Tasty Kitchen Blog, and my very first post went up this morning! I feel honored to be among such talented cooks, writers, and photographers. I still have that “little fish in a big pond” feeling, and have a lot to learn.

Another exciting moment for me was meeting Tyler Florence, who is one of my most favorite Food Network chefs! I went with a dear friend of mine and her chubby little man to Tyler’s book signing in San Jose last night. Tyler was very nice, and I could tell he was trying to be friendly despite how tired and worn out he looked. I’ve never met and conversed with anyone famous before. Giddy doesn’t even begin to describe my excitement level — I thought my heart was going to pound right out of my body!
